What is "IP"?
 |
Non-GMO Soybeans |
IP stands for Identity Preservation - a method of production based on segregation from the seed to final destination. In Clarkson Grain's IP production system, our merchandisers contract directly with producers to grow specific varieties of corn or soybeans. The producer then segregates and documents the handling of the entire crop from the source of the seed to our storage facility at the time of delivery. We maintain the identity of the segregated production throughout our storage and conditioning facilities, observing strict protocols to ensure delivery of truly IP product to our customers.
IP Advantages:
You can select one hybrid or variety that is chosen for its specific end use. End use characteristics such as processing ease, color, taste, aroma and certain nutritional aspects are factors that influence those choices. Clarkson Grain helps buyers select hybrids or varieties that perform well for each buyer's desired end use criteria. By using a single hybrid or variety from a single production region, buyers can reduced the variation in incoming raw materials - dramatically reducing changes in cooking recipes and times, improving process yield and consistency.
Clarkson Grain has dedicated growers that take pride in supplying us with superior quality corn and soybeans. We help selected varieties for our clients that work well agronomically for our farmers, which helps ensure a steady supply. Our focus is to offer a quality product, good service to our clients and growers, and complete the supply chain by bringing them together.
